How to make your LinkedIn profile stand out

First of all, your LinkedIn Profile should have a banner mentioning the skills and qualities that you want to sell in the market. Or you can mention the qualities that you are currently working on and start your career by selling those in the market in  near future.

Profile Picture 

Your profile picture is a key element of your LinkedIn presence. Statistics show that LinkedIn members with a photo receive far more engagement: 21 times more profile views and 9 times more connection requests. So it is important that the LinkedIn profile picture is very clear and it is better that the passport size picture is taken or framed and it depends on your own preference whether you want to hide the face or show it. It doesn't matter.

Intro

Your name should be simple and complete. For example, if you are a doctor or engineer, you can also assign a degree title before the name.

Headline

The headline should be very specific and you can add your recent position, organisation, working field, skills in it.

Your Dashboard

The purpose of telling all the tricks mentioned above and all the tips coming down is to improve the dashboard of your profile so that the views on your profile, views on the post and search appearance are maximised.This will ultimately increase the reach of the profile.


Post Frequently & consistently

To increase the visibility of your LinkedIn profile, it is important to post at least 2 posts every week. Use relevant hashtags under the post and create post that resonate with your target audience. You can also share someone else's post on your profile. Try posting on weekdays and business hours only. The best time is 8 AM -11 PM.

Interaction is key/essential

React to others' people posts so that the network knows that you are active and contributing to the development of network. When you comment on other people's post, it also shows how you are behaving, it also showcases your personality. Even in the eyes of people who are not part of your network. 

Connection request

Send blind requests to increase connections, but if you want to build your network with people in your industry, you can go to the search bar, type your industry and click on people to send them a request. This will also increase your profile views and connections.

LinkedIn Summary/ about section

The about section of your profile should not be too detailed or too composed but it should include the recent and past professional experience, skills, qualities, certifications which you have mentioned in different sections of your profile.

Recommendations can significantly boost your profile.

Last but not the least, and foremost importantly If you have practically worked with someone, you can request them for recommendations because they are your employment reference. when viewers visit and Read recommendations on your profile so they will believe that you are really skill full and your profile should be considered.
